Wana Udobang is an award-winning writer, poet, performer, and curator whose work explores memory, womanhood, quiet intimacies, food and the body. Across four acclaimed spoken word poetry albums, Dirty Laundry(2013), In Memory of Forgetting (2017), Transcendence (2020), and Dissonance (2026), she weaves personal vulnerability with broader cultural commentary.
Her reporting and cultural criticism have featured in major global outlets, including The Guardian, The Observer, BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, Roads & Kingdoms, and Contemporary&.
She curates the archival project Culture Diaries and facilitates The Comfort Food Storytelling Workshop, using sensory food memories unearth new stories. Her work has earned international recognition, including the Ama Ata Aidoo Fellowship at Northwestern University and the Camargo Foundation Fellowship.
